A Shoemaker's journal

Tomorrow, the 25th of October, is St. Crispin’s Feast Day.
Now, what has that got to do with me? I’m not even of the Christian faith!
Well, St. Crispin (the brothers Crispin & Crispian, actually) is the patron saint of shoemakers. Patrons of the gentle craft. It has once been said to be the only holiday shoemakers actually take, closing up their workshops for this day that unifies shoemakers all around the world.
In accordance with tradition, I too will be putting away my tools for a day. Happy St. Crispin’s Day everyone!
